Using Qualtrics for Active Learning Online

Active learning in an effective teaching approach in which students are engaged as active participants in their learning experiences, often by working together to complete tasks during class time. One challenge when using active learning in online classes is how to effectively manage that collaborative process so students can work together when they are physically distant. This workshop will teach attendees how to use Qualtrics, a Duke-licensed survey tool, to facilitate active learning. We will cover how to use Qualtrics for class readiness quizzes, group projects, peer evaluation, polling, and minute papers or reflective writing.
