MIDI for Producers

The fourth in a series of workshops designed to increase understanding around the theoretical fundamentals of electronic music, this workshop will address the following questions:

How do I use MIDI to control software and hardware synths?
Why use MIDI vs Audio?
How can I incorporate chance into my MIDI programming?
Producers are encouraged to follow along their DAW of choice (Ableton, Logic, Garageband, Reaper, Pro Tools). Examples will be pulled from current hits from indie, pop, EDM, and hip-hop. No prior music theory background or experience needed, all are welcome!
