https://arts.duke.edu/workshop/music-amp-audio-february-15-2021/
Monday, February 15, 2021
6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Brooks Frederickson

The fifth in a series of workshops designed to increase understanding around the theoretical fundamentals of electronic music, this workshop will address the following questions:

What's the difference between an arpeggiator and a sequencer?
How do I use arps and sequencers?
Why use arps and sequencers?
How can I incorporate randomness into my use of arps and sequencers?
Producers are encouraged to follow along their DAW of choice (Ableton, Logic, Garageband, Reaper, Pro Tools). Examples will be pulled from current hits from indie, pop, EDM, and hip-hop. No prior music theory background or experience needed, all are welcome!
