Tens of thousands of refugees are expected to reach the US in the next few weeks, and half a million more are predicted to flee the country by the end of the year. After decades of investment, the international community remains unequipped to address the current crisis. How can the United States mobilize its diplomatic and economic resources to provide both immediate and long-term safety for those fleeing violence?
