Join #PPGArtists-in-residence Aya Shabu and Dasha Chapman for a community workshop at the Power Plant Gallery to explore their research around Hayti and Haiti.

Hayti/Haiti/History is a creative history project exploring connections between Hayti, Durham's historic neighborhood and Haiti, the First Black Republic. Chapman and Shabu are in residence through July 15th. Public studio hours are Thursday, Friday, Saturday, from 12pm-5pm.

This even will follow a walking tour of Hayti, Durham's historic neighborhood. The tour begins at 10am and will meet at the Hayti Heritage Center, 804, Old Fayetteville St., Durham, NC.

The Power Plant Gallery is an initiative of the Center for Documentary Studies and the Master of Fine Arts in Experimental and Documentary Arts at Duke University. #PPGArtists is a program of the Power Plant Gallery.
