Duke Gardens Solar Eclipse Celebration

Join us in Duke Gardens to observe a partial eclipse of the sun, and explore with FREE hands-on activities for visitors of all ages. For this rare and exciting solar event, we will offer a variety of indoor and outdoor activities related to astronomy and Earth sciences. At the Solar Eclipse Celebration you can learn how to safely view the eclipse, try out different methods of sun observation, contribute to citizen science projects, watch a live video of the total eclipse, conduct experiments and explore scientific principles, create eclipse-inspired art, and more.
