Terry Sanford Distinguished Lecture

Rep. Adam Schiff will draw on his current role as the Ranking Member, or top Democrat, on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. This committee oversees the nation's intelligence agencies including components of the Departments of Defense, Homeland Security, Justice, State and Energy, and is currently playing a leadership role in an investigation into Russia's active measures campaign targeting the 2016 election.

This Terry Sanford Distinguished Lecture will include an introduction by Congressman David Price (NC-4) and will be moderated by Sanford professor Bruce Jentleson. The event is sponsored by the Sanford School of Public Policy with support from the William R. Kenan Charitable Trust. The event is co-sponsored by the Intelligence Community-Centers of Academic Excellence (IC-CAE), Duke's Program in American Grand Strategy, the DeWitt Wallace Center for Media and Democracy, Duke School of Law's Center on Law, Ethics and National Security, and POLIS: The Center for Political Leadership, Innovation and Service.
