Corpse Exhibition: Iraqi Literature after 2003
The American occupation of Iraq produced a boom in dystopian novels and short stories. Trauma from two preceding wars, sanctions, and draconian censorship by the Ba'athist regime flood these works. This symposium brings together writers and scholars to discuss the role of cultural production in reflecting upon the symposium in Iraq after the 2003 US invasion.
