Graduate Student Workshop: Writing with Visuals I: Helping Students Learn to Write about Tables and Figures
Sponsor(s): Thompson Writing Program
Graphs, tables, diagrams, and other visuals are central to writing in some fields. But even when students include visuals in their papers, they often don't know how to discuss them effectively. This session presents a novel approach to teaching students this important skill. This is a natural sciences, engineering, and quantitative social sciences focused workshop. Lunch will be provided.
