Optimizing Adaptive Interventions using Sequentially-randomized Trials in Treatment and Implementation Science

Dr. Daniel Almirall
Friday, July 13, 2018
10:00 am - 11:00 am
Daniel Almirall, Phd
Department of Population Health Sciences Research Seminar

There is strong interest in using sequential multiple assignment randomized trials (SMART) to build high-quality adaptive interventions, where based on an individual's changing health status, you use a sequence of decision rules that pre-specify which interventions to offer, for whom, and when. To illustrate, Dr. Almirall will present ASIC (Adaptive School-based Implementation of CBT) which aims to develop an adaptive implementation intervention to improve the uptake/adoption of cognitive behavioral treatment in high-schools.

Dr. Almarill is an Associate Professor at the Institute for Social Research and Department of Statistics, University of Michigan.
