Learn IT @ Lunch

Duke is committed to making online content accessible for people with disabilities. This includes PDF and document accessibility, an increasingly prevalent topic in litigation. Making accessible documents is a good practice for initiatives and websites of all sizes. The session will begin with an engaging presentation about document accessibility tips and tricks. The latter half of the session will be a thrilling adventure on how to set up your copy of Adobe Acrobat DC for accessibility remediation and using the MS Office Accessibility Checker. Participants are encouraged but not required to bring a laptop with Microsoft Office and Acrobat DC installed to follow along. Acrobat DC is available for $50 through Duke: https://software.duke.edu/node/26. Learn IT @ Lunch is designed to be an opportunity to learn about technology in a relaxed lunch environment. Each session includes a presentation followed by Q & A. No pre-registration is required. Seating is available on a first come, first served basis. NOTE: Lunch is not provided. Feel free to bring a brown bag lunch.
