Great Minds Think for Kids

The Duke CHDI Child Maltreatment Prevention Research Team is a multidisciplinary team that is studying how to prevent child maltreatment by providing supports to families and how to best care for children who have experienced maltreatment. This team is building a data infrastructure that includes information from social services and the Duke electronic health records. We will present results from our ongoing work related to interviews with national experts in the Clinical Decision Making Support Tools, health care utilization of young children (aged 0-3 years) who are seen at the Child Abuse and Neglect Medical Evaluation Clinic, and foreshadow the next set of research questions we are addressing.
