Taking Control of Periods: Innovations that Put the Power into the Hands of Girls
Sponsor(s): Duke Innovation & Entrepreneurship Initiative
This global panel will feature Duke-UNICEF Innovation Accelerator social entrepreneurs and UNICEF field staff in discussion around the power of user/girl-centered design in field-based innovations. Too often, new and exciting innovations design without their true end-user in mind. Worse still are innovations that claim to deliver social impact to the most vulnerable or marginalized but attempt to do so without truly engaging their intended audiences. Join us to hear more about user-designed menstrual health innovations.
