ELSI Point/Counterpoint Series - Meeting 4

As part of Duke's post-doctoral program in Genomic Medicine, the Center for Applied Genomics and Precision Medicine presents a Point/Counterpoint series aimed to encourage discussion of the ethical, legal and social implications of genomic science and medicine.

If you are a post-doctoral fellow with interests in clinical research or a clinician with an interest in research, this series will open your eyes to important issues to consider when approaching clinical research. Although genomic medicine literature will provide the backbone of our discussions, lessons learned will be applicable to any research involving patients and the public.

Two commentaries or other literature from 'opposing' sides of a pre-determined topic will be assigned for each meeting. Attendees will be expected to read the assignments prior to class in order to fully engage in discussion during class.

ALL working on clinical genomics projects or interested in this topic are welcome to join!
