Saturday, April 24, 2021
10:00 am - 11:00 am

In this online presentation by Jan Little, director of education and public programs at Duke Gardens, we will discuss a group of landscape plants that add beauty, texture, color and flowers to your garden. The program begins with a general horticulture discussion and then introduces a selection of trees, shrubs and perennials, noting their native region, culture, care, design attributes and history with people. Topics for this week include red buckeye (Aesculus pavia), eastern bluestar (Amsonia hubrichtii / Amsonia tabernaemontana), spiked winter hazel (Corylopsis spicata), bishop's-hat (Epimedium species), Siberian iris (Iris siberica), Virginia sweetspire (Itea virginica), and Chinese snowball viburnum (Viburnum macrocephalum).

Saturday, April 24, 10-11 a.m. Please join us for one or all Seasonal Celebrities sessions each week through June 12. Register for additional sessions separately.
