Saturday, May 08, 2021
10:00 am - 11:00 am

In this online presentation by Jan Little, director of education and public programs at Duke Gardens, we will discuss a group of landscape plants that add beauty, texture, color and flowers to your garden. The program begins with a general horticulture discussion and then introduces a selection of trees, shrubs and perennials, noting their native region, culture, care, design attributes and history with people. Topics for this week include crossvine (Bignonia capreolata), Chinese fringe-tree (Chionanthus retusus), white fringe-tree (Chionanthus virginicus), summersweet (Clethra alnifolia), alumroot (Heuchera cultivars), heartleaf (Hexastylis species), and Chinese fringe flower (Lorapetalum chinense).

Saturday, May 8, 10-11 a.m. Please join us for one or all Seasonal Celebrities sessions each week through June 12. Register for additional sessions separately.
