Join Black Muslim Talkspace, Duke Performances, and DISC as they host a poetry reading and Q&A by Sadiyah Bashir.

Sadiyah Bashir is a freelance writer and poet. Her poetry has been showcased on various media such as: Al-Jazeera, Apple, and UNICEF. Her first self-published book entitled "Seven" explores trauma and triumph through the lens of Black Muslim womanhood..

Black Muslim Talk Space is an intimate reflection space for those at the intersections of Black & Muslim identities.

This event is part of a week of virtual engagements with the Duke and Durham community, including local K-12 students, as part of DISC and Duke Performances' ongoing 'Building Bridges: Muslims in America' initiative.
