10:30 am - 12:00 pm

Where does light come from? What is it made of? What does it do? We'll look at sources and properties of light, as well as how it's important for life on earth, especially plants! Join other homeschool students at Duke Gardens in a small group setting with classes designed to maximize exploration in nature. Discover diverse living things and the ways they interact with the environments that sustain them. Investigate with all senses, play games, experiment, create through crafts and more! Each class focuses on a different interdisciplinary topic. Section A: children ages 5-6; 10:30-11:30 a.m. Adult chaperone required. Meet in the Doris Duke Center. Parking fees apply. Information/registration: 919-668-1707 or gardenseducation@duke.edu
