Monday, October 22, 2018
10:30 am - 11:30 am

Join other homeschool students at Duke Gardens in a small group setting with classes designed to maximize exploration in nature. This fall, on four Mondays in Sept., Oct. and Nov., explore the full scope of your senses. Learn how other living things perceive the world around them, and why their senses might be similar or different to yours. How do different senses help living things to learn and survive?

Sound
What can you hear in Duke Gardens? Listen carefully to discover how different sounds are produced and interpreted. Is something moving over there? Was that call a greeting, a warning or a threat? Learn how listening closely can help you identify the invisible animals around you.
Meet at the Doris Duke Center. Adult chaperone recommended.
