Choral Evensong

The Duke Evensong Singers lead the music in a service of Epiphany Lessons and Carols. Featuring composer Jonathan Dove's anthem "The Three Kings," this service alternates readings, hymns, and anthems to conclude the Christmas season.

Choral Evensong is a centuries-old tradition that continues to be prayed every day all over the world. Drawn from the 17th century, worshipers are invited to enter into a sacred space of reflection through music, scripture, and prayers that have shaped Christian lives for hundreds of years. All are welcome! Please also note that services occur only during the academic semester. This year, services will take place every Sunday at 4:00 p.m. from August 26-Dec 16 and January 6-May 5, excluding December 2 (Messiah) and March 31 (Spring Oratorio).
