Mission: Madagascar -- Fundraiser to Benefit Madagascar Conservation

Event Image
Saturday, October 06, 2018
6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Sir Charlie Welch and Lady Andrea Katz

Due to the potential for Hurricane Florence to cause flooding and downed trees across the state in the days that follow, we are forced to postpone the Mission: Madagascar event from September 15 to a new date of October 6.

Join us for a fall benefit to support the DLC's Madagascar Conservation Programs!
Enjoy heavy appetizers, a wonderful selection of wines donated by Leland Little Auctions, and locally brewed beer donated by Durham's own Fullsteam Brewery - including an exclusive brew named after our newest blue-eyed black lemur, Ranomasina.

Relax with other animal-lovers in the twilight tropical ambiance of the Duke Lemur Center during this special evening! Meet or get re-acquainted with our rare and beautiful lemurs, browse the items in our silent auction, see behind-the-scenes spaces like the vet hospital and prep kitchen, and participate in interactive conservation experiences along the tour path -- including a Madagascar presentation by conservationists Sir Charlie Welch and Lady Andrea Katz.

Tickets are required and space is limited! To learn more and to purchase tickets, please visit https://lemur.duke.edu/protect/mission-madagascar/.
