Duke AI in Art Competition Reception

Artificial Intelligence (AI)-generated art has been trending in the news recently, and +DS is excited to hold a reception for more than 20 entries in the Duke AI for Art Competition created by Duke students, faculty, and staff.

Please join us on Wednesday, March 20 for a reception to view AI in Art Competition entries, converse with the participants, and learn about how their creations were generated.

The reception will be held at the beautiful new Rubenstein Arts Center, recently opened in 2018, in the jewel-box Ruby Lounge and hosted by the Duke +DS initiative and the Vice Provost for the Arts.

The submissions have been judged by faculty from Duke's Art, Art History & Visual Studies Department, and from the Rhodes Information Initiative at Duke (Rhodes-iiD). During the reception we will announce the prizes for this competition, with First Place: $5000, Second Place: $2500, and Third Place: $1000.
