Crossroads: The Racism of Pride

LGBTQ narratives and communities have a history of erasing and excluding people of color from movements and experiences. Examples include the Stonewall movie, which depicted the thrower of the first brick as a white gay man, rather than a black trans woman in honor of Marsha P. Johnson to seeing racist messages of "no blacks, no asians, no latinx" on dating apps. Join us for a dialogue centered on the intersections of race, sexual orientation, and gender identity.
