SUSPENDED: "ar·ti·facts: abortion stories and histories" Exhibit

THIS EXHIBIT IS SUSPENDED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. One in three women will have an abortion at some point in her life, yet abortion remains one of the least talked about experiences in our society.

"ar·ti·facts: Abortion Stories and Histories" is a multimedia, interactive installation, that disrupts common notions and popular narratives about abortion by exposing the complexity and diversity in our abortion experiences and offering a more real, nuanced and complete picture of abortion. The artifacts included in the exhibition were gathered over the course of six years for the digital multi-media project, The Abortion Diary by its founder/director, Melissa Madera, PhD.
