The Future of Global Health Equity

Paul Farmer, Co-founder of Partners in Health, and Duke Trustee, will give a free talk at Page Auditorium on Wednesday, Feb. 26. This David M. Rubenstein Distinguished Lecture called "The Future of Global Health Equity" will be in a conversation format with Sanford professor Manoj Mohanan and will discuss solutions to some of the big global health policy challenges today. Tickets are free, but required, and will be available from the Duke Box Office (tickets.duke.edu) on Thursday, February 6, 2020. Parking for a fee will be available in the Bryan Center deck (PG4).
Farmer is a physician, anthropologist, author and co-founder of Partners in Health. He is Professor and chair of the Department of Global Health and Social Medicine at Harvard Medical School, and chief of the Division of Global Health Equity at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. He also serves as U.N. Special Adviser to the Secretary-General on Community-based Medicine and Lessons from Haiti.
The Rubenstein Lecture Series was endowed with a gift to Duke by David M. Rubenstein, who will be giving a book talk at Duke in conversation with Sanford dean Judith Kelley on Monday, April 13 at 5:30 p.m. Also a Rubenstein Lecture Series, the book talk will take place in Fleishman Commons.
