Grand Opening

Grand Opening
Friday, January 24, 2020
1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

The Center for Multicultural Affairs (CMA) is excited to announce the addition of two new cultural spaces in our Center. These two spaces were created from the advocacy efforts of the Native American Student Alliance (NASA); Duke Student Government; Students with Interracial Legacies (SWIRL) and the Center for Race Relations (CRR).

The cultural space dedicated to the Native American/Indigenous community on campus will be known as CMA:Wekit (way-ki-th) located at 001 Bryan Center, Lower Level of the Bryan Center. Wekit means home in Carolina Algonquian language. The CMA:Garden Room (005 Bryan Center) will be a shared space for the multiracial/multiethnic community and CRR. All of our cultural spaces are open to all students, faculty and staff. Join us in the celebration.
