Wendy Matsumura is Associate Professor of History at UC San Diego. Following the publication of her first book, The Limits of Okinawa in 2015, she has been working on a project that examines the relationship between oikonomics, imperialism, and anti-capitalist struggle in the Japanese empire through a Marxist feminist perspective.
