At this event, artist Anthony Patterson will share about his process, work, and exhibition "Gifts from my Grandfather." Free and open to the public.

CDS Emerging Documentary Artist Anthony Patterson, born in 1995 in Durham, North Carolina, received his BFA in painting from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (2017). In his senior year, Anthony was the recipient of the UNCG Artistic Merit Award, which granted him his first solo exhibition "The Elephant in the Room." Since then, he has shown in multiple group and solo exhibitions, as well as artist residencies, across North Carolina. Anthony has also taught small classes, led workshops, participated in panel discussions, and co-curated in partnership with The Black On Black Project.
