ArtistYear Virtual Info Session

INTRODUCTION TO ARTISTYEAR

ArtistYear's mission is to address our nation's arts education gap by ensuring that every vulnerable student in America has access to the arts through a National Service Arts Corps.

Founded by Curtis alum, former concert cellist, and tech entrepreneur Margo Tatgenhorst Drakos, ArtistYear develops, supports, and places recent higher-education arts graduates across artistic disciplines - including actors, creative writers, dancers, designers, filmmakers, musicians, and visual artists - at high-need schools as full-time teaching artists.

ArtistYear Fellows are paired with phenomenal teachers in Title I schools with the goal of increasing equity and access to arts education, improving student academic and school engagement, enhancing school climate and culture, and nurturing the next generation of Citizen-Artists.
All ArtistYear AmeriCorps Fellows receive a comprehensive benefits package, including a monthly stipend, a $6,920 Education Award plus federal loan forbearance, health insurance reimbursement, and robust leadership and teaching-artistry development.

This opportunity is a full-time commitment from July 2020 through June 2021.
