Sanford Virtual Event: Rethinking Justice in Durham - A Conversation with District Attorney Satana Deberry

In 2018, Durham voters elected a new District Attorney who pledged reforms to the community's criminal justice system. What successes has she had? What are the challenges? How might students and faculty at Duke participate in the ongoing work of reform? Join the Hart Leadership Program on April 17th from noon to 1:30 PM via Zoom for a conversation with Durham District Attorney Satana Deberry Law '94/Fuqua '06. The event will be moderated by Ajenai Clemmons PhD '22, whose research focuses on community perceptions of the criminal justice system, and will feature student reflections on their criminal justice reform research.
