GPSA Global Health Gap Year Opportunity Presentation

GPSA for Health offers healthcare service learning programs in Guatemala, Belize and West Virginia to students who have a strong interest in pursuing a career in healthcare.
During this talk you will learn about the health challenges faced in the developing areas where GPSA works, and how the service learning programs train students to undertake medical interventions related to the health issues that can be found in these communities.
You will also learn about the opportunity to join GPSA's Medical Fellows, global health, gap-year program, for 2018-2019. Medical Fellows play two main roles in the programs: 1) they work at a health center alongside doctors, nurses and community health workers; and 2) they lead the academic service learning programs for high school students.
