The Unadulterated Truth featuring Anthony McPherson

Spoken Verb, Duke's premier poetry and spoken word student group, will be hosting our semesterly featured poet in The Unadulterated Truth. We encourage everyone to come join us in celebrating identity, experience and the beauty of poetic works. The event is scheduled to kick off with a short open mic. Afterwards our featured poet, Anthony Mcpherson, will take over!

Anthony is a poet of New York City whose biracial poetry intertwines various art forms, as well as a myriad of character impressions. He is a Nuyorican Grand Slam poet, and an Urban Word alum. He represents those who left home far behind to make it, and those who will go far enough to find themselves - their best selves. He currently ranks No. 2 in the world.
