The Ecology of Israeli-Palestinian Peace

Shadi Shiha and Eve Tendler, Palestinian and Israeli alums, respectively, of the Arava Institute for Environemntal Studies in southern Israel near the Jordan border, will join us at Duke to discuss the relationship between environmental solutions and conflict zones. Through personal experience, they will discuss the topic in the context of the Middle East. After a short presentation and moderated panel discussion, the audience will break into smaller groups to think about specific issues and devise questions for the guests.
