About the lecture
Dr. Msuya will provide an overview of the current status of reproductive, maternal, newborn, and adolescent health in Tanzania. She will highlight gaps, proposed solutions, and potential research opportunities.

About the speaker
Sia E. Msuya is a medical doctor with specialist training in public health, sexually transmitted infections, HIV/AIDS program prevention and management, and maternal and newborn health. Dr. Msuya has over twelve years of working experience with health systems in developing countries, with a special focus on programs in HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment, prevention of mother-to-child HIV transmission and maternal health. She is currently the Director of the Institute of Public Health, KCMU College, Moshi, Tanzania, Coordinator of undergraduate research and epidemiology, and a senior lecturer at the university. Dr. Msuya has worked in different research fields including HIV/AIDS in women, children and elderly populations, patterns and trends of sexually transmitted infections, sexual and reproductive health, and non-communicable disease
