12:00 pm

Every year, the Coalition for Preserving Memory at Duke University hosts a 24-hour name reading ceremony to honor the victims of various genocides throughout the 20th and 21st century. We bring genocide awareness and education to the Duke community in ways that are meaningful and unique. This event brings over 300 students and faculty members together to raise our voices in honor of those who lost theirs. Please join us this year from Sunday, April 8th at 12:00p to Monday, April 9th at 12:00p to read names and honor these victims, their voices, and their legacies. You can sign up for any ten-minute slot at the following link: https://tinyurl.com/dukecpm2018 . Following at 7:00p on Monday, April 9th will be a panel tackling "How Can the Past Move You Forward" in Rubenstein Library Room 153. Join us for a dinner and expert panelists who have been impacted by a number of human atrocities.
