About the workshop:

In this workshop we will explore the elements and power of the ONE SHOT, both from the filmmaker angle and as experienced by the audience. The workshop will start with the screening of a few examples, followed by a group discussion and a filming exercise in the Rubenstein Arts Center. The goal of the workshop is to experience filming in a joyful and relaxed environment. No previous experience or gear required.

About the instructor:

Tamar was born in Israel and grew up in Jerusalem. She is a documentary filmmaker and has worked in different capacities in the film and TV industries. She is particularly interested in exploring and shedding light on social issues through personal stories. Currently Tamar is studying towards an MFA at Duke university at the Experimental and Documentary Media Program.
