Meeting with Graduate/Professional Young Trustee Finalists

Graduate and Professional Young Trustee Finalist Meeting
Wednesday, March 16, 2022
6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

We invite all graduate and professional students to attend a meeting with the Graduate/Professional Young Trustee finalists. Participants in the March 16 meeting will first hear from Maggie Epps, Secretary to the Board of Trustees and Chief of Staff to the President, about the position. Each finalist will then have time to speak about their interest in becoming Young Trustee. The majority of the meeting will be dedicated to a question and answer period with the finalists.

To register for the meeting and to submit questions for all four finalists, go to https://trustees.duke.edu/young-trustee. (Please register by end of day Tuesday, March 15. For questions to be considered, they must be submitted by end of day Sunday, March 13.) For those who are not able to attend live, the meeting will be recorded and available on the Board of Trustees website until 10:30 p.m. ET on Monday, March 21.

Participants in the meeting will have an opportunity to provide feedback on the finalists via a survey. Only those individuals who attended the meeting or watched the recording will have their survey feedback considered. In order for a survey to be considered, the submitter must have attended or watched at least 90% of the meeting. The survey is not a vote, but rather feedback from students on the finalists for the nominating committee to consider in making their recommendation to the president. Surveys must be submitted no later than 11:59 p.m. ET on Monday, March 21.

Finally, those who attend the meeting on March 16 in Penn Pavilion will be provided with a to-go dinner following the event. In addition, there will be a raffle for prizes, including a $100 Whole Foods Market gift card, two $50 Duke Dining gift cards, four $25 Chipotle gift cards, and two Duke swag bags. Only those individuals who attended the meeting or watched the recording (at least 90%) and submitted a survey will be eligible for the raffle.
We encourage all graduate and professional students to participate in this important process.
