Duke Neurobiology welcomes Tiffany Schmidt, PhD, Associate Professor of Neurobiology at Northwestern University, hosted by Suva Roy, PhD, Senior Research Associate. Dr. Schmidt will present "Illuminating visual circuits" LIVE in 103 Bryan and her seminar includes a Zoom simulcast. Email for the link. ABSTRACT: Light influences behavior and physiology in myriad ways. The melanopsin-expressing, intrinsically photosensitive retinal ganglion cells (ipRGCs) project throughout the brain to mediate diverse functions. This seminar will center on new behavioral functions for these ipRGCs.
