What is security force assistance? How do these assistance programs work in practice? What are the opportunities and the challenges of providing support in order to create, equip, and train various parts of a country's security forces?

Join us for a panel discussion on March 22 with Gen. Scott Jackson, the commanding general of the Security Force Assistance Command, on the past, present, and future of security force assistance as part of US strategy. Gen. Jackson will be joined by three experts to discuss the potential of these assistance programs and the implications of providing this assistance: Moses Khisa (Assistant Professor of Political Science, North Carolina State University), Eric Mvukiyehe (Assistant Professor of Political Science, Duke University), and Patricia Sullivan (Associate Professor of Public Policy, University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill).
