The U.S. Supreme Court's decision in Dobbs v. Jackson has led to widespread reverberations across the globe. Despite awareness of the imminent threat to abortion rights, the decision has led to some unexpected challenges to reproductive health and health systems both in the U.S. and globally. The speakers will discuss the individual, health systems-level and political impact of the Dobbs decision from their experiences as abortion providers and advocates in the U.S. and globally.

SPEAKERS

Jina Dhillon J.D, M.P.H., is an Associate Director at Ipas North Carolina and has worked in the field of sexual and reproductive health rights for over 16 years.

Beverly A. Gray, MD, Duke University School of Medicine, Department of Ob/Gyn, leads the residency program and serves as the Division Director for the Women's Community and Population Health.

Jonas Swartz, MD, MPH Duke University School of Medicine, Department of Ob/Gyn, splits his time as a clinician and researcher. His clinical interests include complex family planning and obstetric care and his research interests include health policy issues that impact care for the underserved.

Megan Huchko, MD, MPH, (moderator) has a dual appointment as an associate professor in the department of obstetrics & gynecology and the Duke Global Health Institute.
