Rural Transformations: Local Knowledge, Global Change
Join us for "Local Knowledge, Global Change," a virtual conversation with Miguel Altieri, professor of agroecology at the University of California, Berkeley, and author of e Agroecology: The Science of Sustainable Agriculture, and Richa Kumar, associate professor of sociology and policy studies at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and author of Rethinking Revolutions: Soyabean, Choupals and the Changing Countryside in Central India.
Daniel Duhart, a postdoctoral fellow at the Universidad Academia de Humanismo Cristiano in Santiago, Chile, and Kerilyn Schewel, co-director of the Duke Program on Climate-Related Migration and lecturing fellow at the Duke Center for International Development, will serve as the moderators.
This event is part of the Spring 2023 Speaker Series: Rural Transformations, co-sponsored by the Duke Center for International Development and the Center on Modernity in Transition (COMIT).
