“The Dead at Duke” Exhibition

Eric Mlyn's first-year seminar class "The Dead at Duke" will launch an exhibit at Perkins Library about the five times that the Grateful Dead played at Duke. The students, who curated the exhibit, have spent time in the Duke archives, accessed documents from the Grateful Dead archives at the University of California at Santa Cruz, and interviewed Duke alums who attended some of the shows.

The exhibit will be on display at the Campus Club Wall December 1, 2021 - February 1, 2022.

Please join us at 5pm in Perkins Library Room 217, where we will hear from our students and enjoy some Grateful Dead music by members of the Loose Lucies, a Grateful Dead cover band made up of Duke faculty and staff. You can then head downstairs to the exhibit and learn about the Dead at Duke.
