Marquis Bey is currently Assistant Professor of African American Studies and English, as well as core faculty in Gender & Sexuality Studies and Critical Theory, at Northwestern University. Bey's work concerns black feminist theorizing, transgender and nonbinary studies, abolition, and contemporary black poetics. They are the author most recently of Black Trans Feminism and the forthcoming Cistem Failure: Essays on Blackness and Cisgender, both published with Duke University Press.
