An Afternoon of American Art Song

In this concert, all four of Duke Music's voice studios- students of Sandra Cotton, Elizabeth Linnartz, Ted Federle, and Penelope Jensen- come together to share a variety of American Art Songs with one another and with the audience.

The program includes singers of all levels of voice instruction, from our beginning 101 classes to graduate students and faculty, as well as collaborative pianists David Heid, Daniel Seyfried, and Blake Ray. Many of the songs on the program are by composers of color, female composers, and living composers, some of whose works have never been heard on stage at Duke before.

Free admission.
