Neurodiversity Student Panel: Hear personal experiences from neurodivergent students and gain practical advice for teaching & mentoring
We invite you to join us for a panel discussion focused on the lived experiences of neurodivergent students at Duke. This event is sponsored by the Office for Faculty Advancement. Join us in person or via Zoom!
We will hear from these current or former graduate and undergraduate students who will share their perspectives and stories.
• Alex Winn graduated in May 2023 with a Program II major in Mind Science: Neurocognitive Dynamics and Artificial Intelligence. Alex was technical director of the Duke cyber team and is currently a research associate in research in the Department of Mathematics.
• Jadyn Cleary is completing her senior year at Duke with a Program II major in Digital Platform Design: Accessible User Experience. She is President of The Clubhouse and an active member of the Duke Disability Alliance.
• Navya Adhikarla is in her second year in the Master of Engineering Management (MEM) program. She is committed to fostering inclusion in education, the workplace, and the larger community. She is a Student Program Director at Duke GPSS and an engaged member of the Pratt and MEM community. Navya received the Ethics Award from the Duke MEM program.
When: Tuesday, September 26, 12-1 pm
Where: Penn Pavilion Garden Room
Registration is required for either in-person or Zoom attendance. For those attending in person, lunch will be available with vegetarian/vegan options. RCR 200 credit will be available.
