Writing about Visuals

Visuals are an essential component of writing in many disciplines--from graphs in the physical sciences to reproductions of artwork in the humanities to maps in the social sciences. Yet students often struggle to write about visual materials effectively. This session presents an innovative heuristic to help students move beyond "See Figure 1" through a simple yet powerful vocabulary. (75 min) Led by Cary Moskovitz, Thompson Writing Program. Zoom Link will be sent to registered participants prior to the session.
