SOM Academic New Faculty Orientation: Mentoring for Clinicians/Clinician-Educators

Starting a new faculty appointment is an exciting and challenging opportunity, and whether you joined Duke this month or last year, the School of Medicine Office for Faculty wants to make sure you have the tools and support to hit the ground running and to navigate your career here.

This session intends to outline a path to academic independence. Participants will explore strategies for aligning expectations and communicating effectively with mentors. Attendees will also learn about various mentoring tools and resources available at Duke.

This seminar will be most relevant for faculty in the clinical sciences.
