LITTLE TOWN OF BETHLEHEM (Jim Hanon, 2010, 75 min, Palestine & Israel, English & Arabic w/ English subtitles, Color, DVD) -- LITTLE TOWN OF BETHLEHEM shares the gripping story of how three men born into the cycle of violence in the Holy Land have chosen to risk everything to bring peace through nonviolence. Sami and Ahmad are Palestinians; one is a Christian, the other a Muslim; and Yonatan is an Israeli Jew. Each finds inspiration in the words and actions of Martin Luther King Jr. and Mahatma Gandhi, and they struggle together to discover a common humanity through non-violent action. Their story brings fresh hope to the ongoing conflict between Palestine and Israel, while taking a stand against violence throughout the world. -- Discussion to follow!
