Light lunch will be served. | About the lecture: Drawing on his first-hand experience of serving as principal of the International Christian Medical Institute and of training and mentoring hundreds of health workers currently working at all levels of Uganda¿s health system, Dr. Mukooza will address the current status of human resources for health in Uganda. | About the speaker: Dr. Edward Mukooza practiced internal medicine and general surgery in Uganda for a decade before joining the International Christian Medical Institute (ICMI) in 1997 to teach health administration to health workers, as well as public health to undergraduates at Uganda Christian University (UCU). Since 1997, Dr. Mukooza has provided individual mentoring to more than 650 students working on research projects as part of their diploma in health administration. These students now work at various levels of the health system all over Uganda. Dr. Mukooza serves currently as the principal of ICMI.
