Gernot Wagner, senior economist at the Environmental Defense Fund, will present a lecture titled "Climate Shock: The Economics of Extremes" at Duke on Feb. 28. The lecture will focus on Wagner's new book Climate Shock. The book, which he co-authored with Martin Weitzman, is forthcoming with Princeton University Press. In it, the two argue why to act on climate change, and explore what would happen if we don't.This talk is part of the Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions and the University Program in Environmental Policy seminar series featuring leading experts discussing a variety of pressing environmentally focused topics.
